What every shop owner asks
Does Sosto take a commission?
No. Sosto takes no commission at all. Whatever the customer pays at your till is all yours.
What if the customer doesn't show up?
You lose nothing. You haven't paid anything and the bag stays with you: you can sell it to another customer or keep it.
What goes in the bag?
Whatever you have left that day that's still good to eat: bread, sweets, cooked food, sandwiches. The customer doesn't know exactly what they'll get, which is why it's a surprise.
What if one day nothing is left over?
No problem. You offer fewer bags, close that day or decline the booking. You don't have to offer bags every day.
Who sets the price?
You do. We suggest about 1/3 of the normal value, e.g. €15 of food for €5, because that brings customers in. You can change it whenever you like.
How do I get paid?
The customer pays at your till when they pick up, like any other customer. There are no cards or online payments in the app.
How do customers find me?
People with Sosto see nearby shops and bags on their phone and book from there.
How do I know it's the right customer?
They show you the booking code on their phone and you check it in your app.
How much time will it take?
You set it up once: days, pickup time, bags and price. After that it takes about a minute a day.
Do I need to buy anything?
No. No card machine, no tablet. You only need your phone.
